Read, Baby, Read
In 2020, the Louisville Public Library launched a new initiative to encourage the newest readers in our community. The program provides parents of new babies born in Louisville with information about library services and story times, as well as a coupon for a new board book, to be redeemed at the library. The library is also home to a new Read, Baby, Read play zone in the Children’s area.
Summer Reading Program
Each year, the Foundation supports the Louisville Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, to keep youth actively engaged in reading throughout the summer. The program offers an array of fun community programs, incentives to kids who reach their reading goals, and a book to those who complete the program.
Throughout the year, the Foundation supports community events at the library, including evening events held during the First Friday Art Walks and Snowed In at the Library, a free community event held on the evening of the annual Louisville Light Parade.
